Board Members of the Month- June 2019
Congratulations to our Public Service Team for being our newest Board Members of the Month! The public service team is led by McKenzie Teng, Christin Workman, Kira Stearns and Labri Heaton. They have done tremendous work with Bonton Farms for this year’s public service campaign. They placed 2nd in both AAF’s Club Achievement Competition and AdMerica’s Public Service Competition. We are proud of their accomplishment and want to celebrate all their hard work.
Learn more about the Public Service Team below….
McKenzie Teng is a Senior Art Director at GTB working on Ford Motors tier 2 retail. Before that, she helped open Organic/BBDO’s Dallas office for AT&T Business and has worked on other big brands around Dallas such as Jamba Juice, The Home Depot, Total Wine and More, Dr Pepper Mexico, and Sprint.
McKenzie is a recent 32 under 32 Honoree, 2018 Ad 2 National Club of Achievement and Public Service Campaign winner as well as a Dallas ADDY recipient.
When she's not at work, she volunteers with Element Ad 2 as a Creative Director on the public service campaign for local non-profits. And when she's not doing that, she's thinking of puns… In short: she loves what she does and is tirelessly dedicated to making great work on and off the clock.
Christin Workman is a senior copywriter at Publicis Hawkeye and creative director for Element Ad 2. She has worked on household brands from AT&T, AT&T Business, Capital One, USAA, FedEx and more. Along with her day job, she volunteers her writing chops for publications like the Dallas Observer. As an inaugural 32 under 32 winner and Dallas Addy recipient, she has been involved with Ad 2 Dallas since last year’s award-winning public service campaign with Genesis Women’s Shelter. When she’s not writing, she’s teaching or performing aerial lyra at Extend Fitness Studio in Dallas.
Kira received her bachelors degree in Communications from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She currently works as a Insight Strategist at Zimmerman Advertising. Her job entails turning hard data and numbers into artful poetry (insights and recommendations) for her client, Nissan. When she isn't working, Kira enjoys traveling the world collecting new hot sauces.
Labri Heaton was born and raised in the DFW area. She fell in love with art and design at a very young age and later pursued her passions at UT- Arlington studying Graphic Design. In her free time, she works with at-risk youth in South Dallas and runs her photography business. She is currently the Art Director for the Public Service Team.
